The brief was to provide a romantic yet modern garden with an elegant finish. The adjoining house interiors being a mixture of antiques, sophisticated design and modernity - the garden needed to reflect the clients classical eye yet highly creative flair.

With minimal maintenance a key requirement, hardy robust perennials and naturalising bulbs have been selected in lilacs, whites and hazy romantic textures. Evergreen Prunus lusitanica and and Ilex crenata replace Buxus to provide a slightly formal, symmetrical structure throughout the borders and soft, lush green grasses provide a contemporary finish. All the planting has also been designed to enhance biodiversity, enhance pollinator numbers and allow for easy maintenance,
